Our journey began with the vision of a world where hope replaces despair,‬ and opportunity replaces barriers. What started as a small initiative has‬ grown into a global effort, uniting volunteers, donors, and communities to‬ address the pressing issues of inadequate healthcare and education. Board Member

Fathi Abu Farah

Fathi Abu Farah is a Chartered Professional Accountant from CPA Ontario, Canada with Public License, and also a Certified Public Accountant from Montana State, United States of America, with over 35 years of post-qualification professional experience. 


Fathi was associated with Ernst & Young for over 10 years in Kuwait & Jordan before setting up the Jordan branch of RSM in 2003. He has wide ranging experience in handling audits and multi-disciplined consulting assignments that include business plans, business modeling, due diligence, business analysis, cost control techniques, project financing, accounting & financing structuring. He is also experienced in conducting training programs and in implementation of professional standards. 

Fathi has considerable audit, consulting and taxation experience and is abreast of the latest international and local accounting practices. He is in a good position to ensure that the accounting & audit is conducted in accordance with the related International Standards.


Fathi held a number of successes managerial positions reaching a CFO level, during his career journey in Middle East, USA, and Canada. Currently, Fathi is the Founder & Executive Director of International Professional Group Inc., Chartered Accountants located in Mississauga and serving the GTA of Canada, as well as the President (Board of Directors Chair) of the Arab Community Centre of Toronto (ACCT).

Syed Irfan

Syed Irfan is a seasoned executive with over 34 years of global experience in financial leadership, operational excellence, and strategic governance. His career spans 14 industries and 10 countries, where he has held senior roles such as CFO, business owner, and director. Known for his ability to drive financial stability and operational growth, Syed Irfan brings a rare combination of strategic foresight and hands-on execution to every organization he serves. His expertise extends across companies with revenues from $1 million to $4 billion, managing P&Ls of up to $175 million.


A strong advocate for social impact, Syed Irfan has worked extensively with non-profit organizations across Europe and Canada, providing financial structure and supporting fundraising initiatives.

His deep understanding of the financial and operational challenges faced by non-profits allows him to create sustainable funding models and improve financial transparency. As a leader, Syed Irfan has played a pivotal role in helping non-profits develop clear financial frameworks that enable them to achieve long-term stability and growth. His experience in raising funds and implementing strategic financial processes ensures that organizations have the resources and systems needed to fulfill their mission.


Syed Irfan’s leadership extends beyond financial stewardship. He has held directorships in both the UK and Canada, offering strategic oversight, governance, and operational guidance to a variety of organizations. His extensive consulting background, combined with his entrepreneurial journey of founding three businesses and successfully exiting two, gives him a well-rounded perspective on organizational growth and leadership. His approach is rooted in collaboration, accountability, and a results-driven mindset, making him a valuable asset to any board.

Eng. AbdulRahman Khattab

Eng. AbdulRahman Khattab is a Palestinian-Canadian religious leader with a profound background in engineering management. Holding a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, he spent over 8 years leading teams in Construction and infrastructure projects before answering the call to his passion.


 His unique blend of technical expertise and spiritual insight allowed him to serve various Muslim communities in Canada and be the Imam of SW Masjid in Calgary for 5 years. Currently, Eng.Khattab works and lives in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Yasser Aboutaha

Dr. Yasser Aboutaha is a Graduate of Dentistry, with vast experience in several fields including Project Management, International Marketing, Mentoring and Life Coaching, Public Speaking, Event Management and Fundraising. Dr. Yasser is also one of the founders of Masjid Fundraising and is on a mission to use his education and expertise to help Masajid and not-for-profit organisations reach their financial goals with efficiency and ease.


For masajids, Dr. Yasser specialises in fundraising, event management, Islamic lectures, marriage counselling, youth programs, outdoor activities, and family gatherings. Since 2009, he has helped many masjids in Canada.

Operations Manager

Dr. Mustafa Al-Azzawi

Dr. Mustafa Al-Azzawi holds a Ph.D. in Sharia and Law and holds humanitarian roles as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Human Appeal UK organization (2013–2014). Goodwill Ambassador for the Hands for Charity Canada in 2024. Dr. Mustafa has founded several professional institutions and companies, and currently serves as the General Manager of Remasca Inc, a leading Canadian company.


He is also known as an Islamic singer renowned for his purposeful works combining high-quality artistry with humanitarian messages. His songs have been a source of inspiration and support for many charitable and developmental initiatives, earning him a prominent place in the field of meaningful Islamic art. Dr. Mustafa Al-Azzawi seamlessly blends knowledge, art, and humanitarian efforts, making him a distinguished figure in various domains.
